About University of Kota
The University of Kota (UOK), established in 2003 by the Government of Rajasthan through the University of Kota Act, 2003, is a public institution dedicated to providing quality higher education in the region. Located in the urban setting of Kota city, the university operates under the chancellorship of the Governor of Rajasthan and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) . UOK encompasses six faculties: Arts, Commerce and Management, Education, Law, Science, and Social Sciences, offering a diverse range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs . With over 170 affiliated colleges across six districts—Kota, Bundi, Jhalawar, Baran, Karauli, and Sawai Madhopur—the university serves approximately 225,000 students, emphasizing both academic excellence and research initiatives .
