Scholarship Exam Details

The Chief Minister Higher Education Scholarship Scheme (CMHESS) is a major initiative by the Government of Rajasthan for students from low-income families. For 2026, it supports students who have passed their Class 12 exams from the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (RBSE), Ajmer, and are pursuing higher education in recognized colleges. The scholarship provides ₹500 per month for 10 months (₹5,000 annually) for up to five years. For students with disabilities (40% or more), the amount is doubled to ₹1,000 per month. While the monthly amount is modest, its 5-year duration makes it a reliable support system for students pursuing long-term degrees like B.Sc. or B.A. It specifically targets students who are in the Top 1 Lakh merit list of the RBSE.
