Scholarship Exam Details

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) is the gateway to one of India's most prestigious private engineering institutes. Beyond admission, BITS Pilani offers extensive merit-based scholarships funded by the institute and its alumni. For 2026, the scholarship structure is twofold: Pure Merit and Merit-cum-Need. In the Pure Merit category, the Top 1% of students receive a 100% tuition fee waiver, and the next 2% receive a 40% waiver. Under the Merit-cum-Need scheme, students with a family income below ₹12 Lakhs are eligible for waivers ranging from 25% to 100% based on their CGPA and entrance score. This ensures that a seat at BITS, which has relatively higher fees, remains accessible to middle-class toppers.
