Scholarship Exam Details

The Aakash National Talent Hunt Exam (ANTHE) is an institution in the Indian private coaching landscape. Conducted by Aakash BYJU’S, it targets students from Class 7 to 12. For 2026, the scholarship has evolved to provide up to 100% waiver on tuition fees and classroom service fees for NEET and JEE preparation. The total prize pool often exceeds ₹100 Crores, including cash awards and specialized "National Science Expeditions." The most prestigious reward is an all-expenses-paid trip to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center for top performers, offering students a global perspective on science and technology. ANTHE is not just about the money; it provides a "National Benchmark" through its All India Rank (AIR). Since millions of students appear for it, the AIR is a highly accurate predictor of a student's potential success in the actual JEE or NEET exams two to three years down the line. It serves as a bridge for talented students from low-income families to access high-quality study materials, iTutor labs, and expert faculty mentorship.

Q1: Can a student who is already enrolled in an Aakash classroom program sit for ANTHE 2026?
A1: Yes, existing Aakash students can appear for ANTHE to "upgrade" their scholarship. If a student is currently on a 50% scholarship and secures a top rank in the new ANTHE, their scholarship can be increased to 100% for the remaining duration of their course. However, the cash prizes are often reserved for new students or under specific "Top Ranker" categories.
Q2: What is the "Cash Award" structure for different classes?
A2: The cash awards are stratified by class level. For example, a Class 10 topper might receive a higher cash award than a Class 7 topper, reflecting the increasing competitive intensity. These awards are usually disbursed in installments over the course of the coaching program to ensure continued academic commitment from the student.
Q3: Is ANTHE available for students studying in vernacular (regional) mediums?
A3: While the primary exam is in English, Aakash has been expanding its reach. In many centers, support is provided for students from Hindi-medium backgrounds. However, the national-level question paper is standard, so students are encouraged to be familiar with English scientific terminology.
Q4: How is the NASA trip selection conducted among the winners?
A4: The NASA trip is not given to every 100% scholarship winner. It is typically reserved for a select number of top-ranked students across different categories (Class 8, 9, and 10). The selection is based strictly on the ANTHE score, and in case of a tie, internal age and subject-specific tie-breaker rules (usually prioritizing higher marks in Science and Mental Ability) are applied.
