Scholarship Exam Details

The Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) is one of the most important government scholarship schemes in India. It is designed to financially support students from economically weaker sections, especially SC, ST, OBC, and minority communities, who are studying after Class 10.

If you have completed Class 10 and are now studying in Class 11, 12, ITI, diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, or even professional courses like engineering, medical, law, MBA, etc., you may be eligible under this scheme.

The main purpose of the scholarship is simple:
👉 No student should stop studying because of financial problems.

The scholarship is implemented through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) and state portals. Each state may have slightly different income limits and benefit amounts, but the structure remains similar.

đź’° What Does PMS Cover?

  • Tuition fees reimbursement

  • Maintenance allowance (monthly stipend)

  • Study tour charges (in some cases)

  • Thesis printing charges (for higher courses)

  • Reader allowance for disabled students

The maintenance allowance depends on:

  • Your category (SC/ST/OBC/Minority)

  • Your course level

Income limit usually ranges between ₹1 lakh to ₹2.5 lakh annually depending on category.
